This meeting featured a talk by Chris Knowles of Knowles-Wilkins Engineering (KWE) Ltd.
Chris is highly acclaimed for his rebuilt XJ and XJS cars. He explained why a rebuild is
a viable, or even better, alternative to a new car.
KWE is an engineering based car company which remanufactures the Jaguar XJS
and the Series 3XJ. The engines are fully reconditioned and the suspension
is re-engineered to give modern handling while retaining the excellent
ride. The result is a car of character with modern reliability and
driveability, that bridges the gap between bespoke, fully restored classic
cars and unrestored second hand vehicles.
There is a wide range of options (including LPG fuel) so each car is
individual for each owner. KWE can either supply a car or modify your own
one.
