Tony Ridge has been involved with the Jaguar scene since the early seventies, and with concours
since the middle/late sixties, starting with various MGs and Rover 2000/3500s.
Together with the late Harold Mayer, he developed the Jaguar Concours Rule Book, still in use today. His first Jaguar was a 1968 White 240 purchased in 1977 reaching, in those days, second place at the Champion of Champions. This car is still on the circuit today. He has owned most models, since then reaching a very high concours standard at both local and national events. His cars have won a number of trophies & prizes, including class wins, over four years with Auto Glym.
He has been involved with the JEC almost since its inception and feels very passionate about the club and its future. Both he and Jackie have made many friends over the 25 years since the club was formed. They currently run a 2004 XJ350 Sport and have just changed their XK8 FHC to an XK8 Convertible.
His talk was about his involvement with concours, and what those judges are actually looking for!
