1. Are you the Oxford Region of the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club?
Yes we are. But we also support Daimlers and other makes through the DLOC and the OxCMC.
2. Are you the Oxford Branch of the Daimler & Lanchester Owners' Club?
Yes we are. But we also support Jaguars and other makes through the JEC and the OxCMC.
3. Do I have to join?
No. Just let us know your contact information, and we will be pleased to keep you informed of our activities. Please supply a phone number so that we can contact you if email or post stops working.
4. Can you help me fix my car?
We have members with a very wide range of machinery on two wheels, four wheels or none.
We may be able to assist you with faults, or enquiries regarding suppliers of goods or services.
However, please supply full information about what you are trying to do,
and full contact information, including a phone number.
Please remember that everything is done by volunteers, so it may take some time for you to hear from us.
5. Can you help me sell my car?
Not at present. We plan to have a 'For Sale' section on our Web Site, both for cars and parts. You will see when this has been added.
6. Can you help advertise my event?
We try to add relevant local events on to our calendar.
However, we get asked to advertise stuff from all around the world so if your event
is in Asia we may not add it!
Let us know and we will see what we can do.
Please note that over busy summer weekends, there will be a number of competing events on the same day.
7. How big are you?
Our list of names is around 700.
This includes a few folk who are on the list to get information.
We get around 20 - 50 to meetings.
We try to be very welcoming to new people and we are very 'lady-friendly'.
Our biggest event to date was Blenheim Palce in Sept 2007 where we had about 150 cars!
8. What happens to the money?
We have a voluntary collection at meetings and some events.
We spend money on such things as room hire and equipment for shows.
A detailed set of accounts to January 2008 has been produced, and copies are available at meetings.
Our Free Raffle is stocked by donations.
