The George and Dragon, a traditional pub serving good food and beer, is situated in Long Hanborough, between Woodstock and Witney on the extremes of the Blenheim Palace estate.



The village was recorded in the Domesday Book as 'Hanborough' and has several houses of over 400 years old, including the Malt House dating from the 16th century. Other properties date from between the 16th to 19th centuries.

Directions from Oxford

From the Peartree roundabout (junction of A44 and A34), take the A44 in the direction of Evesham and Woodstock. Continue on the A44 for approximately 3 miles to the roundabout with the A4095.

Take the first exit signposted Bladon and Hanborough. Continue on the A4095 through Bladon and into Long Hanborough: approximately 3 miles.
